Carrying on from my sketches, I began creating some initial wireframes for some of my screens. This involved creating different variations for the main fridge screen as I was unsure which layout looked the best just from a sketch. From this, I was then able to start adding colour and drawing my illustrations for the images.
I drew all my illustrations on Procreate on the iPad. I think this is the best way to get the look that I want rather than trying to draw them in illustrator.
I looked at lots of different colour palettes especially because I knew that my illustrations would carry lots of colour throughout my app so I wanted to rest of the coloured layouts to be minimalistic although I knew I didn’t want it to solely be greyscale.
I narrowed it down to these different colour palettes:
I then decided on using these two colours along with an off-white for my main background throughout the app.
