To be able to change my immersive prototype into a website, one of the first things I needed to do was rethink my navigation. I also thought rather than have the loop all the way around as my prototype did, I could display it like a timeline where. the further you scroll vertically, the further into the timeline you go. Although this would mean I have to rethink the navigation as I still want there to be a way to move between sections without having to scroll all the way up or down.

I put this together on Figma to see if I liked the display of it using the timeline down the left-hand side. I also kept the figure of 8 loops as the main navigation at the top of the page. This was with the thought that there could be a pop-in side nav when the main navigation is offscreen or scrolled passed. While I like this idea, I think there is something missing from it and it seems quite basic so I want to explore other options as well as this one before carrying it forward.
