After our autonomous vehicle criqitique we were given our next brief which was based on the 17 sustainable development goals. Currently, the goals are very tailored towards adults and are very much like PDF / infographic style reports.

Our brief is to design the content in a way that is suitable for either children (10 year olds specifically) or for undergraduates. It could be in the form of an app, website, book, e-book, a toy etc.

Create suitably designed project which focuses on the design of content for particular users. Evidence of content design, prototyping and evaluation.

We dont necessarily need to design all 17. Only choose 5 to design, however it should be possible to design all 17 with the same method. This could even be a physical design, not always a UI.

Requirements:

  1. A branded home containing your version of the SDG
  2. At least 5 SDG aimed at 10 year old audience or undergrads
  3. A style guide / visual grammar and brand to accompany the design
  4. The delivery platform for this project is a prototype tool (Adobe XD, Figma)

What are Sustainable Development Goals?

<aside> ❗ The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to transform our world. They are a call to action to end poverty and inequality, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy health, justice and prosperity.

In 2015, all the countries in the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It sets out 17 Goals, which include 169 targets. These wide-ranging and ambitious Goals interconnect. Most of them also have some direct health targets. All of them have indicators by which progress can be measured.
